Horror
The genre of horror and thrillers, often to do with the supernatural and the occult. It is used to sense or resist magic, as well as to cast spells. It is also used for intimidation and resisting fear. A very low Horror (<=0) may mean the public doesn't take you seriously in these roles, while too much (>=5) can make you seem creepy in any role.
| Romance
This is the genre of romance, whether dramatic, suspenseful or comedic. It indicates how attractive and sexy you seem, as well as your skill in seduction. It is also used for being friendly, fast talking and many other social interactions. A very low Romance may mean the public find you plain and boring, while too much can make you seem promiscuous.
| Action
This is the genre of Action, Adventure and War movies. It is used in combat scenes and physical stunts. It covers fighting, both unarmed and armed, as well as driving dangerously, swinging on ropes and leaping off buildings. It is also used for strength, dodging and endurance. A very low Action may mean the public find you weak, while too much can make you seem cocky in any role.
| SciFi
This is the genre of Science fiction, Espionage and classic Space opera. It indicate how knowledgeable you are about science and how good you are with technology. It is gives your intelligence and level of general knowledge. A very low SciFi (<=0) may mean the public sees you as ditzy or a klutz, while too much (>=5) can make you seem nerdy in any role.
| Crime
This is the genre of Crime, Mysteries, and Detective or Cop show. It indicates how good you are as both detective and criminal. It covers stealth, deception and stealing, as well as investigation, observation and security. It indicates how streetwise you are. A very low Crime may mean the public thinks you are naive, while too much can make you seem untrustworthy.

The player mostly gets to chose which core stat they use for an action. While picking someone's pocket is always going to come off Crime, there are other ways to the ID from someone's wallet. You could use Romance to sweet talk them into giving it to you, or Action to punch them out and take it from their prone body. Horror could be used to whisper a creepy threat in their ear of what you could do if they don't give it to you. SciFi could be used to scan their ID without needing to touch their wallet. There will be easier and harder ways to do it. If they target is a paranoid muscle bound security guard, SciFi may be best, but if they are a lonely rich CEO, Romance may be easier.
If you want to work out which stat to use, just think about HOW you want to do it.
| Determination
This represents how tough you are, physically and emotionally. It is what drives you to stand back up when the world, literally or metaphorically, knocks you down. If you are wounded, by weapons or words, you lose determination. If your determination reaches zero (0) then you are downed, defeated and dejected. Physical damage can be healed by magic or medics, as indicated by their skill. Social damage can only be healed by talking with a friend (for one point, once a game) or with someone you are close to (for two points, once a game). Characters normally start each game with full Determination. GMs may give a penalty in exceptional circumstances.
| Drama points
These represent how lucky you are. They are a meta-game resource which can be spent each game to "Take Two" or to "Half Damage". These can only be spent on yourself, unless the GM says otherwise. They allow you to "Take Two", which means you can reroll or add +2 to your existing total, whichever is better. Even if the number is not sufficient to succeed outright, something will go your way. When you halve the damage of something used against you, it rounds in your favour (ie rounds down). It can not completely prevent the effect, but it can minimise it. Unspent points do not carry over to the next game. Spending a drama point against another player's drama point is called "Blocking" and is considered rude (unless the GMs offer it as a special option).

Fame
While Fame is not actually a character stat, it is very important to the characters. Vanity magazine publishes lists of actors fame, as well as ratings for shows and movies. These affect how much attention you get in the rumour mill, advertising executives and from the Paparazzi. More famous actors add to a show's ratings, and a show's ratings go up if a famous actor appears on it.
